CM Sai For Swift Action on Kidney Disease in Supebeda, Warns Officials to Expedite Revenue Matters

Raipur
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudeo Sai expressed concern over the increasing number of kidney patients in Supebeda, Gariaband, during the Collectors’ Conference on Thursday. He emphasized the need for swift action to reduce the number of kidney patients, suggesting that specialists from Delhi be brought in if necessary. In an uncharacteristic move, he showed a stern side, which is usually rare for the otherwise calm and approachable CM.
During the conference, CM Sai firmly told all district collectors to maintain restraint in their language, warning that action must be taken against officers who fail to do so, or he will take matters into his own hands. This came after incidents in Bilaspur and Rajnandgaon where officials had allegedly threatened female students with imprisonment.
He also expressed dissatisfaction regarding revenue issues, stating that citizens should not have to approach the CM’s office for small matters. He specifically mentioned Sarangarh, Khairagarh, and Bastar, calling attention to the slow resolution of revenue cases, which he found unacceptable.
CM Sai was presiding over the Collectors’ Conference at the New Circuit House in Raipur, where he took a tough stance while reviewing the revenue department’s performance.
The conference began with a focus on revenue matters, during which the Chief Minister expressed his frustration over the slow pace of revenue-related cases in Sarangarh, Bastar, and Khairagarh. He directed the collectors to expedite the resolution of such cases.
CM Sai emphasized that all revenue-related tasks must be completed within the designated timeframe. He instructed that undisputed land mutation cases be resolved on time and that districts with a resolution rate below 70% should increase their focus. He also ordered that cases of disputed land division should not remain unresolved for more than six months.
Addressing the importance of land demarcation, CM Sai noted that this is a matter directly affecting the public and that the orders for demarcation should be promptly executed. He urged collectors to ensure that citizens are not left to wander due to minor errors and to resolve issues as quickly as possible, adding that timely resolution reflects positively on the government’s image.
