CM extends Kamarchhat wishes to people of state
Raipur: Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel has extended warm greetings and best wishes to the people of the state, especially mothers, on the auspicious occasion of Halashashthi, also known as Kamarchhat. He emphasized that Halashashthi marks the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Krishna’s elder brother, Balram ji. In Chhattisgarh, this festival is referred to as Kamarchhath. Traditionally, on this day, families and temples create Sagri, resembling a pond. Women come together to offer Pashar rice, Kashi flowers, Mahua leaves, and Lai as they fervently pray to Lord Shiva and Sagri. It is a day when women observe a fast, seeking the health, long life, and prosperity of their children. He expressed his heartfelt wishes that the prayers of all mothers are answered, and that all children remain in good health and happiness.
