CM Bhupesh Baghel says Dr Raman Singh is welcome on stage during Priyanka Gandhi’s visit to Bastar

Chhattisgarh government is organizing ‘BharosaSammelan’ in Bastar on Thursday in which CongressNational General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi will participate. It is learnt that former Chief Minister Raman Singh will also be on Bastar tour on the same day. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel while talking to the reporters on the Priyanka Gandhi’s visit and coincidently Dr Singh’s visit on the same day, Baghelsaid that his predecessor is most welcome on the dais. 

Taking a jibe at former minister and BJP leader KedarKashyap’s objection to Congress general secretarybeing invited to the government programme, the chief minister asked that the government programme is being organized in Jagdalpur. The chief minister asked when the programme was held during the BJP government, did the president of his party not stay with them. He said that BJP’s co-organisation in-charge Saudan Singh’s photo was also printed in the posters those days.

Meanwhile, BJP Mahila Morcha is going to oppose Priyanka Gandhi raising the issue of crime against women in state. On this, Chief Minister BhupeshBaghel said that a comparison of four years term of Raman Singh and his government will make the picture clear on crime against women. “I have put it in the assembly and the second thing is that if you want to do this agitation, then do agitation in the matter of inflation, support us, come with us, the prices of petrol, diesel and gas have increased. Now even the prices of pulses have increased. If there is a demand from the central government to stop this, then let us come and support them,” said the chief minister.

As elections come, BJP will adopt more such tactics

On Biranpur violence, the Chief Minister has once again attacked the BJP saying the opposition in Chhattisgarh adopts dual policy. The party constituted an inquiry committee for Jashpur, but an inquiry committee was not constituted for Biranpur. In Biranpur, BJP has only added fuel to the fire, he said.

BJP’s intention was not to maintain peace. He said that the Congress government has given security to the victim’s family. Financial assistance and government job have also been announced.
