Raipur: Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel will distribute the second installment of the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan NYAY Yojana, totaling Rs. 1,894.93 crore, to 24.5 lakh farmers on the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. The event will be held virtually in Mahasamund on August 20. The scheme aims to provide input subsidies to farmers, with additional installments of around Rs 4,000 crore planned for October and March.
Since its launch in 2019, the scheme has distributed a total of Rs. 20,103 crore as input subsidies to farmers, fostering a resurgence of interest in farming and boosting Chhattisgarh’s agricultural sector.
