CIMS Dean and Superintendent Suspended Amid Mismanagement Allegations: Health Minister Orders Probe into 3-Year Purchases, Approves ₹10 Crore for Hospital Upgrades

Raipur: In a major development, state-run Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) Dean Dr K K Sahare and Hospital Superintendent Dr Sujit Nayak have been suspended with immediate effect following complaints gainst them regarding mismanagement and various irregularities in the hospital’s operations. The health minister, Shyam Bihari Jaiswal made the announcement during the autonomous committee meeting at CIMS Bilaspur on Monday. He also directed an investigation into purchases made over the past three years.
MLA Dharmalal Kaushik, Dharmjeet Singh, Dilip Laharia, Sushant Shukla, and Additional Chief Secretary Health Manoj Kumar Pingua, along with committee members and officials were present in the meeting.
The Health Minister and Chairman of the Autonomous Committee stated that the state government is committed to providing better health services to the common people, and strict action will be taken against those obstructing in achieving this goal. He approved a budget of Rs 10 crore for impriving facilities at CIMS and procuring equipment.
