Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel Ignites Election Spirit in Khairagarh District Visit.
As the election season kicks off in the state, a palpable sense of enthusiasm is spreading among political parties. The inaugural phase of voting in Khairagarh district, scheduled for November 7, has marked Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s visit to Khairagarh today. This one-day visit was a historic event, as it was the first time the Chief Minister had graced the district since its formation. During his visit, he actively engaged with Congress workers, charging them up for the upcoming elections during a workers’ resolution camp in Chhuikhdan.
Approximately six thousand Congress workers gathered at the resolution camp in Chhuikhadan. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel shared the stage with Khairagarh MLA Yashoda Verma, and Padma Singh, the ex-wife of Devvrat Singh, was also in attendance.
During his address, CM Bhupesh Baghel attributed the rising inflation and spread of rumours across the country to the BJP. He also made a pointed remark about the BJP’s choice of Vikrant Singh for the Khairagarh Assembly, saying, “If uncle and nephew sit in a boat, that boat is sure to sink.”
The chief minister gave an explanation of his stress-free approach to serving the people of Chhattisgarh when the media questioned him about playing Candy Crush during the meeting. He likes to work out, take walks, and sometimes play Candy Crush during his free time.
