Chhattisgarh records 1273.9 mm average rainfall so far

Raipur: An average rainfall of 1273.9 mm has been recorded in Chhattisgarh since June 1. The highest rainfall of 2429.0 mm was recorded in the Bijapur district while the Surguja district recorded the lowest average rainfall of 602.8 mm. This is based on the district-wise rainfall statistics from June 01 to October 10.

According to the information received from the state-level control room for flood disaster management, Surajpur has received 1019.9 mm of rainfall since June 1. Similarly, Balrampur received 1036.0  mm rainfall, Jashpur 1065.6 mm, Koriya 884.4 mm, Raipur 934.5 mm, Balodabazar 1180.3 mm, Gariyaband 1279.5  mm, Mahasamund 1165.5  mm, Dhamtari 1325.9  mm, Bilaspur 1468.8  mm, Mungeli 1336.8 mm, Raigarh 1228.5 mm, Janjgir-Champa 1386.8 mm, Korba 1227.7 mm, Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi 1084.2 mm, Durg 992.2 mm, Kabirdham 1137.9 mm, Rajnandgaon 1239.0 mm, Balod 1302.4 mm, Bemetara 724.7 mm, Bastar 1833.8 mm, Kondagaon 1290.1 mm, Kanker 1559.1 mm, Narayanpur 1494.5 mm, Dantewada 1826.0 mm and Sukma recorded an average rainfall of 1613.1 mm.
