Chhattisgarh records 1202.2 mm average rainfall so far

Raipur: An average rainfall of 1202.2 mm has been recorded in Chhattisgarh since June 1. The highest rainfall of 2336.1 mm was recorded in the Bijapur district while the Surguja district recorded the lowest average rainfall of 558.8 mm. This is based on the district-wise rainfall statistics from June 01 to September 22.

According to the information received from the state-level control room for flood disaster management, Surajpur has received 926.0 mm of rainfall since June 1. Similarly, Balrampur received 905.7 mm rainfall, Jashpur 954.8 mm, Koriya 843.4 mm, Raipur 863.9 mm, Balodabazar 1118.5 mm, Gariyaband 1214.3 mm, Mahasamund 1119.2 mm, Dhamtari 1264.8 mm, Bilaspur 1383.6 mm, Mungeli 1255.3 mm, Raigarh 1132.5 mm, Janjgir-Champa 1318.3 mm, Korba 1155.5 mm, Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi 1042.9 mm, Durg 927.7 mm, Kabirdham 1076.1 mm, Rajnandgaon 1187.5 mm, Balod 1256.1 mm, Bemetara 688.2 mm, Bastar 1732.8 mm, Kondagaon 1233.0 mm, Kanker 1495.5 mm, Narayanpur 1393.9 mm, Dantewada 1766.8 mm and Sukma recorded an average rainfall of 1511.5 mm.
