Chhattisgarh High Court dismisses petition challenging election affidavits presented by former CM Dr Raman Singh.

Dispatch News.
Bilaspur. The High Court of Chhattisgarh has dismissed the petition filed against former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, challenging his ‘disproportionate’ assets and affidavits submitted by him in the assembly elections, declaring his income.
The Congress filed the petition with the High Court, which dismissed the case, saying it was “factless, baseless, and motivated by politics”.
The High Court stated that the documents presented in court were insufficient to prove the allegation and that the petition was motivated by politics.
The court observed that the judicial procedures had been abused, said the former chief minister after the verdict on Wednesday. Dr Raman Singh stated that the Election Commission of India and the Income Tax Department reviewed his documents and found no discrepancies. Prima facie, there is no need to investigate this case from any official institution, said Dr Raman Singh, quoting the court decision.
This decision of the High Court has made things clear, said Dr Raman Singh.
