Chhattisgarh Govt Forms Panel to Select New Vice Chancellor for Mahatma Gandhi Horticulture and Forestry University

Sonmoni Borah, Principal Secretary in the Chhattisgarh Government, has been appointed to lead a three-member committee tasked with selecting a panel of three eligible candidates for the Vice Chancellor position at Mahatma Gandhi Udyaniki Evam Vaniki Vishwavidyalaya, Durg. This announcement was made through a notification issued by the Raj Bhawan.
The committee includes distinguished members Dr. A. K. Singh, Vice Chancellor of Rani Laxmibai Kendriya Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, and Dr. Narendra Prasad Dixit, former Vice Chancellor of Hemchand Yadav University, Durg. Their combined expertise is expected to ensure a rigorous selection process, identifying candidates who can drive the institution’s vision in agricultural and forestry education.
This selection marks a crucial step for Mahatma Gandhi Horticulture and Forestry University as it seeks to expand its research, educational initiatives, and outreach in the field of sustainable horticulture and forestry in Chhattisgarh.
