Chhattisgarh Disburses Third Installment of Unemployment Allowance to 1.2 Lakh Youth

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel of Chhattisgarh disbursed the third installment of the unemployment allowance to the accounts of unemployed youth. In a programme held at CM House, Rs 31.71 crore was transferred to 1 lakh, 22 thousand, and 626 youth. Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu and School Education Minister Ravindra Choubey attended the event.

So far, a total of Rs 80 crore, 72 lakh, and 30 thousand have been disbursed under the unemployment allowance scheme. Including the fourth installment, the amount sent to the accounts of the youth has reached Rs 112 crore.

The disbursements of the previous installments were as follows:

  • First installment: Rs 16 crore, 54 lakh, 62 thousand 500, to 66 thousand 235 youth on April 30, 2023.
  • Second installment: Rs 32 crore, 35 lakh, 25 thousand, and 1 lakh, 5 thousand, 395 youths on May 31, 2023.
  • Third installment: Rs 31 crore, 69 lakh, 60 thousand to 1 lakh, 16 thousand, 737 youth on June 30, 2023.

In addition to receiving the allowance, the unemployed youth are also being provided with skill development training. Currently, 4228 youth are undergoing training, and 1791 more are scheduled to start their training soon. The government aims to empower the youth with essential skills to enhance their employability.
