Raipur: SP Santosh Singh received a complaint of illegal money collection through phone-pay by Constable Yogesh Sahu of Chakrabhatha police station, which was found to be true in the initial investigation. An official inquiry has been ordered against Yogesh Sahu for the complaint and departmental inquiry against Constable Morz Singh Dhruv of Sarkanda police station for consuming alcohol on duty.
Recently, during a surprise inspection by the Superintendent of Police at Mopka Chowki, Constable Santosh Rathore was found sleeping on duty, and he was also given a warning.
In addition, the SP has started a “Cop of the Month” programme to encourage and reward police officers and employees who perform noteworthy work each month. The selected employees will receive a cash prize, a good service entry, and a certificate, and their photo will be displayed on the notice boards of all police stations and checkpoints for the entire month. This will encourage other police officers to do good work as well.
