Dispatch News
Raipur: The Ratanpur police achieved a significant breakthrough by apprehending three suspected foreign nationals, including a woman. Acting on information from higher authorities about a suspicious vehicle approaching at high speed, the Ratanpur police set up barricades near Shanichari Bazaar to intercept it.
At around 2:00 AM in the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, a car bearing the registration number DL 9 CU 4208 approached at a very high speed. When the police attempted to stop it, the vehicle broke through the barricades and sped away. The Ratanpur police immediately alerted the Koni police, who managed to intercept and stop the car after cordoning off the area. The occupants were brought to the station for questioning and were found to be under the influence of alcohol.
Upon strict interrogation, the individuals revealed that they were originally from Afghanistan and Uzbekistan. The suspects claimed they were involved in the dry fruits trade and had traveled to the area for business purposes. A search of their vehicle yielded no incriminating items. The Ratanpur police registered a case of culpable homicide not amounting to murder against them and have initiated a detailed investigation.
The identities of the three apprehended car occupants were established as Valsuddin Kamalzada (37), Fayazuddin (32), both residents of Kabul, Afghanistan, and Samandarova Nazira (39), a resident of Uzbekistan.
