A 17-year-old girl from Bilaspur, who was preparing for the NEET examination in Kota, Rajasthan, was allegedly kidnapped and murdered. She was studying in Class XII.
According to information, she was missing for three days and; the police found her body in a forest near Kota Dam. It looked like her head got crushed with a stone. The girl had befriended a youth from Gujarat through an online game, and he had met her in the hostel three days ago. The police have taken the boy youth into custody from Gandhinagar, and the interrogation is on.
The victim Alia Khan, daughter of Ameen Khan and a resident of Yadunandan Nagar in Bilaspur, was studying at Francis School. After clearing Class-11, she took admission at an institute in Kota to prepare for medical. She was staying in a hostel in New Rajiv Gandhi Nagar in Kota.
Alai Khan left the hostel on June 6 afternoon after informing the warden that she had classes. She did not return to the hostel. The hostel called her father on June 6 to tell him that his daughter had not returned to the hostel from coaching. He rushed to Kota and later informed Jawahar Nagar Police Station. After registering a missing case, they started investigating the possibility of kidnapping. As the last location of her mobile was near Jawahar Sagar Dam in Rawatbhata, the police, along with her father, searched there. On June 8, they recovered the girl’s body from the forest.
According to Police sources, the deceased used to play online games on her mobile. About one year back, she befriended a youth from Gujarat. Since then, they started chatting with each other regularly on various social platforms. The man came to Kota from Gujarat on June 4, where he met the girl student. On June 6, both went towards Kota Dam for a walk. After that, the girl did not return to the hostel, and no one knew anything about the youth. The two were also last seen together in the CCTV footage. Police have taken him into custody from Gandhinagar.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has expressed deep sorrow over the murder of Chhattisgarh’s daughter in Kota, Rajasthan. The Chief Minister gave his condolence. The Chief Minister also asked IG Bilaspur to coordinate with the Rajasthan Police for the arrest of the accused at the earliest.
