‘Bhent-Mulaqat’ with CM Baghel proves to be a blessing for 10-year-old diabetes patient

Raipur: A ‘Bhent-Mulaqat’ (interaction) with chief minister Bhupesh Baghel proves to be a blessing for ten-year-old diabetes patient Mohini Kaushik. During the ‘Bhent-Mulaqat’ programme organized on January 18 in the village Khairi of Takhatpur constituency, Baghel fulfilled the promise made to Pramod Kaushik, resident of Bahtarai village in Sakri tehsil, in a very short span of time. Kaushik had requested the Chief Minister’s assistance in the education and healthcare of his daughter Mohini, who is suffering from type-1 diabetes mellitus. This disease requires regular insulin doses due to an increase in sugar levels. As per the Chief Minister’s directions, Mohini is now receiving better treatment.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Baghel is interacting with the people of the state and resolving their issues during his state-wide ‘Bhent-Mulaqat Abhiyan’. During his visit to the village of Khairi, the Chief Minister received feedback on the implementation of government schemes and inquired about the problems and complaints of the rural masses. During the conversation, Shri Kaushik mentioned that his 10-year-old daughter is suffering from diabetes, and she needs to take insulin regularly. He had requested assistance from the Chief Minister for her treatment. Chief Minister assured him of better treatment.

Taking Mohani’s problem seriously, Baghel directed the Health Department team to provide appropriate health facilities and better treatment. Mohani was referred to the District Early Intervention Centre (DEIC) at Bilaspur District Hospital by the Taktapur RBSK team. The district hospital and DEIC team are now providing better treatment to Mohani. In addition, insulin is also being made available to Mohani and appropriate advice is being given to her family.
