Rajnandgaon police arrested the accused from Sirohi district of Rajasthan

There are allegations of scams worth thousands of crores in many states against the directors of Adarsh ​​Co-Operative. They have properties worth about 9 thousand crores in Rajasthan.

Just two days ago, 4 accused directors of Sahara Company were arrested from Lucknow and presented them in Hon’ble Court.

Following the instructions of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, action against chit fund companies engulfed the money of investors in Chhattisgarh has been intensified.

In this sequence, Director General of Police Ashok Juneja directed the Inspector General of Police B N Meena and Rajnandgaon Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh to ensure stern action against chit fund companies. Acting promptly on the directives of the DGP, a team of police under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Sanjay Mahadeva, City Superintendent of Police Gaurav Rai apprehended absconding accused of 62-yr-old Mukesh Modi from Modi Lane, Adarsh Nagar, Sirohi, Rajasthan,  in connection with case (291/21 section 406,420) filed with Kotwali police station in Rajnandgaon. 36 years old Rahul Modi was also arrested. Around 150 crimes are registered against the two accused in different police stations of Rajasthan and they were in jail for several years. Following search in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bharatpur, Barmer, Sirohi jails of Rajasthan, it was found that a few days ago the accused had been transferred from these jails to other jails.

On May 6, 2021, information was received that both the accused, a team under the leadership of Sub-Inspector Mahesh Rajput was sent to Jaipur, but on reaching it was found that both the accused were in Sirohi district near Mount Abu on Gujarat border.

The team was sent from Jaipur to Sirohi where the accused Rahul Modi and Mukesh Modi  was caught and brought back to Rajnandgaon.

Kotwali Police Rajnandgaon will produce the accused in the Court after taking permission for interrogation and seek judicial remand.

According to the case, applicant Sandeep Singh Bhadauria, a resident of Sahdev Nagar had lodged a complaint with the police that he had fallen prey to a cheat involving Rs 1.72 lakh committed by Adarsh ​​Credit Cooperative Society Limited located near Kamathi Line near Khandelwal Hotel. The fraudster fled after the crime, the applicant told the police.

On the instructions of senior officers, police station Kotwali Rajnandgaon is continuously taking action against absconding accused of chit fund company. In which the arrest of the directors of Anmol India, the directors of the subsidiary company of Sahara India, the arrest of the directors of Sunsine Infrabuild and the directors of Adarsh ​​Credit Cooperative Society Limited have been made so far.

It was discovered that the directors of Adarsh ​​Co-Operative have assets worth about Rs 9000 crores in Rajasthan.

Even two days ago, 4 accused directors of Sahara Company were arrested and produced before the court. The accused submitted affidavit  and promised they will refunded the investors’ money.
