AAP slams Congress and BJP for making the state poor and appeals to people to give them a chance to bring change.
Raipur. On Sunday, AAP Convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his Punjab counterpart Bhagwant Mann slammed Congress and the BJP, describing them as two sides of the same coin. Both the Chief Ministers had reached Raipur to address a workers’ meeting on Sunday. The AAP CMs are on their maiden visit to Chhattisgarh, which is going to the assembly poll this year.
Arvind Kejriwal said that the assembly elections in Chhattisgarh are crucial to his party. He said that Chhattisgarh was formed in 2000. Congress ruled for three years, followed by the BJP for 15 years, and then Congress came back to power in 2018, but the people’s lives remain unchanged. They live a miserable life because of the corrupt parties and their leaders despite the state having rich natural resources.
There is no difference in the governance of these parties. Only the faces of the Chief Minister and the leaders are changed. But people’s lives are not changing. The system is not changing.
Arvind Kejriwal said that both the BJP and Congress are friends of Adani. “The public has seen both parties; today, we have come to appeal to the public; give us a chance, and we will prove it. We have no relationship with anyone, only with the public. We hope that the public will support the Aam Aadmi Party,”. He said that the way things are, there is a calm and honest government inside Punjab and Delhi. Similarly, the Aam Aadmi Party will form an honest government in Chhattisgarh.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that since 1990, two families have been ruling in Punjab. Both of them looted Punjab fiercely and created a mafia. People had no choice. In the year 2014, we resolved to change the picture of Punjab. We had four MPs in that election. Then we took on the role of opposition, and now the government is led by the Aam Aadmi Party.
He said that the condition of the farmers in Punjab is the same as in Chhattisgarh. Today, people are getting free electricity. We have approved the old pension scheme. Arvind Kejriwal has told us this: whatever work you do, do it for the public good.
AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak, Chhattisgarh election in-charge Gopal Rai, and party in-charge Sanjeev Jha were present.
