The creation of 50 new positions recommended for the ‘State Dam Safety Organisation’ under the Water Resources Department. These positions include one each of Superintendent Engineer (Civil), Superintendent Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical), and Chief Engineer. These positions were created under the State Dam Safety Organization formed under the Dam Safety Act 2021. This organization is responsible for preventing dam-related disasters, monitoring dams, inspecting their condition, and overseeing their operation and maintenance. A meeting of the post-creation committee was held on August 3 to address this matter.
In addition to these positions, other posts that were created include three for Executive Engineer (Civil), two for Executive Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical), one for Geologist (through deputation), six for Assistant Engineer (Civil), three for Assistant Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical), one for Personal Assistant, one for Assistant Cartographer (Civil), six for Assistant Cartographer (Electrical/Mechanical), eight for Assistant Grade 3, eight for Driver, six for Peon, and one post of Farrash.
