Raipur
Chhattisgarh Congress has announced the launch of its “Chaan Kharidi Kendra Chalo” campaign across all districts on Tuesday, aiming to inspect paddy procurement centers and spotlight any irregularities in their operations. Prominent leaders and party workers will visit various centers to assess the ground situation and identify issues.
Former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will lead the campaign in Raipur, specifically inspecting the Kharoora Paddy Procurement Center. State Congress President Deepak Baij will spearhead the campaign in Bastar, visiting a local committee to oversee procurement activities.
Leader of Opposition Dr. Charan Das Mahant and former Deputy Chief Minister TS Singhdeo are also slated to participate, inspecting centers in their respective constituencies. The Congress party has instructed all former ministers, current and former MLAs, and senior leaders to mobilize large numbers of party workers for this campaign.
Congress has urged its workers to reach as many procurement centers as possible to document the ground realities and present these findings to the government. Senior leaders have been assigned responsibilities to ensure the campaign’s effectiveness, and former ministers have been tasked with overseeing specific regions.
To streamline the initiative, the party has appointed coordinators and is expected to release a detailed list of assigned responsibilities by this evening. The campaign aims to amplify concerns about inefficiencies and irregularities at the procurement centers while emphasizing the need for corrective measures.
