Chhattisgarh Congress is soon to send proposal to AICC for Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra route, with focus on Surguja region

Raipur
The final deliberations on the route of Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra are currently underway, with the Chhattisgarh Congress gearing up to submit a proposal to the All India Congress Committee (AICC) soon. The focus will particularly be on the Surguja region of North Chhattisgarh, where the party lost all 14 seats in the assembly elections of 2023. The party aims to finalize the roadmap after a crucial meeting of senior Congress leaders.
There is speculation that the Nyay Yatra is expected to commence between February 15 and 18 in Chhattisgarh’s Raigarh district. Organizational preparations are in progress based on the proposed roadmap prepared by the party. Former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Congress State President Deepak Baij will be actively involved in the preparations, undertaking visits across the state in anticipation of the Nyay Yatra. It is anticipated that these visits will not only set the tone for the Nyay Yatra but also serve as a platform for promoting the party’s agenda for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The discussions indicate that during these visits, the AICC President and other prominent leaders will not only prepare Chhattisgarh for the Nyay Yatra but also embark on election-related preparations. All leaders participating in these tours are expected to contribute to creating a conducive atmosphere for the Nyay Yatra in Chhattisgarh while simultaneously engaging in promotional activities for the Lok Sabha elections.
Prior to the Nyay Yatra, the State Congress President and other senior leaders will commence a tour of the state to build momentum for the elections. The focus will not only be on creating a favorable environment but also on election-related preparations. Based on the proposed roadmap, the AICC will receive a proposal from Chhattisgarh Congress, and a green signal will be given only after thorough deliberations on the route.
The responsibilities for the proposed districts through which the Nyay Yatra will pass are being allocated to officials in those districts. The route will cover seven districts in Chhattisgarh and traverse through five Lok Sabha constituencies. As the roadmap for the Nyay Yatra in Chhattisgarh gets finalized, new responsibilities will be assigned to officials in the respective districts.
During the tour of senior leaders, including the AICC President Mallikarjuna Kharge, special emphasis will be placed on ensuring the active participation of the general public in Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. Discussions will also extend to election preparations, with a focus on areas where Rahul Gandhi’s padyatra is scheduled to take place, ensuring the involvement of the local population.
