Chhattisgarh Assembly Budget Session from 23 February

The Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha Secretariat has issued a notification scheduling the upcoming budget session from 23 February to 20 March 2026. The session will comprise 15 sittings.
Governor Ramen Deka will deliver the opening address on the first day of the session. His address will outline the state government’s plans and achievements for the coming year.
As this is the budget session, the assembly will conduct detailed discussions on the state’s financial accounts. House proceedings are expected to see spirited debates on public interest issues, new bills, and the supplementary budget.
Both the ruling party and the opposition have started preparing their strategies for the month-long session. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has held preliminary meetings with cabinet colleagues to finalise department-wise budget proposals.
