CG IAS officer transferred, to serve as a collector instead of many districts.

Dispatch News.
The Chhattisgarh government has issued an order transferring senior IAS officer Rajat Bansal, Commissioner of Bilaspur Division, to the post of Collector of Kondagaon district. Rajat Bansal will replace the current collector, S. Prakash.
The government has also issued an order declaring Kondagaon a new district. The newly formed district will be carved out of the Bastar district.
According to sources, the government has taken this step to streamline the administration in the area. The government believes that one collector for a single district will ensure better governance and faster decision-making.
Rajat Bansal is a 2009-batch IAS officer who has served in various capacities in the state government. He is known for his administrative skills and is expected to bring positive changes to the newly formed Kondagaon district.
The move has been welcomed by many, who believe that it will lead to more effective governance and improved development. However, some have criticised the move, stating that having only one collector for a large area like Kondagaon could lead to administrative and logistical difficulties.
