The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against an official in connection with disproportionate assets. The accused served as a Senior Audit Officer in Raipur. The CBI has now launched an investigation into the matter. According to official sources, the accused was employed in the office of the Principal Accountant General (Audit), Indian Audit and Accounts Department, Raipur.

While the CBI has not yet disclosed the name of the accused official, sources within the agency revealed that the officer was involved in corrupt practices. He was posted from January 1, 2013, to March 31, 2025. During this period, he allegedly amassed property worth ₹3,32,93,298 in the names of his wife and son, including jewelry, vehicles, and land plots. The CBI has conducted searches at three locations in Raipur linked to the accused, including his home and office, to collect evidence.

Being in the Audit Department, the officer had access to information about various financial irregularities. Reports suggest he received money from other officials in exchange for concealing such discrepancies.
