BJP MLA Slams Rahul Gandhi Over Rath Yatra Comment

Raipur
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Purandar Mishra strongly criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s statement alleging the Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra was halted for the Adani family. Mishra, who is also the president of the Raipur Jagannath Mandir Seva Samiti, cursed Gandhi, stating that such “anti-Sanatan” individuals who comment on gods should face complete ruin.
Speaking to the media, Mishra said Gandhi should stick to issues like “making gold from potatoes” and refrain from commenting on gods. “If he takes on God, he will be destroyed,” Mishra said. “I am a Brahmin, and if I truly serve Lord Jagannath, then I wish my curse befall Rahul Gandhi.”
Mishra further stated that Gandhi had “challenged” Lord Jagannath, whom he described as a “manifest deity of the Kali Yuga.” He prayed to Lord Jagannath to grant wisdom to the Congress party.
The MLA accused some individuals of attempting to insult gods and the Sanatan Dharma. He highlighted the allegation that the Rath Yatra was stopped for a specific individual, linking it to Gandhi’s marital status. Mishra asserted that this issue was personal to Rahul Gandhi and not a matter for the Congress party.
