Bijapur: People of remote areas getting information about welfare schemes through PR dept’s exhibition

Bijapur: A photo-exhibition cum information camp based on the Chhattisgarh government’s achievements in its four years tenure was set up at the Haat-Bazaar of Gram Panchayat Tarrem, a remote village of the Naxal-hit district. The move aims to ensure last-mile delivery of government welfare schemes.
In the camp, people were made aware of the ambitious and public welfare schemes of the state government including Narva, Garuva, Ghurva, and Bari; Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, Godhan Nyay Yojana, Haat-Bazar Clinic, MFP procurement on support price and Mukhyamantri Suposhan Abhiyan. Besides, publicity materials including monthly magazines, booklets, pamphlets, and brochures were distributed free of cost to the public.
The villagers appreciated the camp organized by the Public Relations Department saying that they easily got information about important schemes of various departments in one place. Villagers including Oyam Budhru, Dhodi Bhima, Korsa Lakhma, and Kursam Jogi inquired about and appreciated the schemes of the government.
Meanwhile, similar camps are being organized in other remote and far-flung areas of the district to give wide publicity to the welfare schemes.
