Big Surrender in Bastar: 18 Maoist Cadres Return to Mainstream, Papa Rao and Key Leaders Renounce Violence

Raipur: In a significant step towards peace, 18 Maoist cadres—including DKSZC member Papa Rao, DVCM Prakash Madvi, and DVCM Anil Tati—are surrendering to mainstream society today under the “Puna Margem: From Rehabilitation to Rejuvenation” initiative.
The event, attended by senior community leaders, police and central security force officials, district administration representatives, and members of Team Bijapur, is taking place at Shaurya Bhavan, Police Coordination Centre, Lalbag, Jagdalpur, in Bastar district.
Notably, these cadres—renouncing violence—are handing over AK-47 rifles, SLR, INSAS, .303 rifles, BGL launchers, and other weapons and items as part of the rehabilitation process.
