Bhupesh Baghel flays Centre over MNREGA budget cuts.

Dispatch News.
Raipur. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has criticised the Central government for reducing MNREGA’s budget, calling the decision anti-labour.
On Saturday afternoon, the Chief Minister posted on social media that when there was a major humanitarian crisis – Covid, a scheme like MNREGA became the labourers’ strength and backbone. MNREGA’s budget has gone from Rs 89,400 crores to Rs 60,000 crores. This is the anti-labour character of the BJP, he said, stealing bread from the mouths of the poor to benefit capitalists.
The Chief Minister had described the Union Budget as Amritkal’s “dead budget” just a day before. He wrote- Sharing some facts with you to understand the Amrit budget. This Union Budget 2023-24 is just another shot in the arm for farmers, labourers, and the lower classes.

He had stated that this was Nirmalaji’s ruthless budget. There is no provision for youth, nor is there talk of doubling farmer income, nor is there provision for women or tribes. He also stated that there is nothing for the tribes.
The CM was also taken aback by the railway budget, which included two lakh 45 thousand crore rupees. Is it for new employees? He inquired. The chief minister smelled a rat in this budget’s plan to privatise the railways.
On February 2, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel targeted the central government on economic growth. He wrote – If you look at the figures, you will know. The claim of alleged historical development in the country in Amritkal is untrue. The average annual growth rate of GDP during the ten years of UPA has been higher than the previous nine years of NDA.
