Dispatch News.
Raipur. Several cities in Chhattisgarh had on Monday come to a standstill with vehicles remaining off the road, shutters of shops remaining down, and schools and colleges sending their students and staff back home following a bandh called by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the Bajrang Dal in protest against the murder of Bhuneshwar Sahu, 23, in a violence that erupted between two communities at Biranpur village of Bemetara district in Chhattisgarh on Saturday.

The protestors set ablaze a hut outside the village and reportedly hit a journalist covering the bandh. The police, however, said that the situation was under control.
All services remained closed, except for emergency services like a medicine shop and a few petrol pumps.
Bhuneshwar Sahu lost his life in a violent clash between two communities in the Bemetara district. According to the information received, there was a dispute between two children in Biranpur village on Saturday. When the family members of the two communities intervened, the situation turned ugly. A clash between the two sides erupted. Bhuneshwar Sahu was present, and he was attacked with a sword. Three policemen also received injuries in the incident.
BJP state president Arun Sao staged a dharna at Saja block of Bemetara when he was not allowed to visit Biranpur village to meet the deceased’s family members on Monday. He demanded justice for the youth and his family.
