The Bastar district administration will organise the ‘Bastar Heritage Marathon 2026’ on Sunday, 22 March. The event aims to establish a positive identity for the region on a global scale. Bastar Collector Akash Chhikara has appealed to citizens across the state to participate in large numbers.
A primary objective of this marathon is to take the message of the Central Government’s ‘Fit India Campaign’ to the masses. The administration intends to project Bastar as a symbol of energy and unity on the national map.
Collector Akash Chhikara urged citizens to register for the run and encourage their friends and family to join the campaign. He said a high turnout would send a strong message of solidarity from the region.
The marathon, scheduled to take place in Jagdalpur, carries the theme ‘Healthy Bastar, Peaceful Bastar, and Empowered Bastar‘. This motto reflects the ongoing social and economic changes in the district. Participants can register for the event on the official website, www.bastarheritage.run.
