Incorrect Entries in Revenue Records Will Invite Strict Action: CM Vishnu Deo Sai

00Progress Review Meeting Held in Raigarh Under Su-Shasan Tihar00

Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has issued a stern warning to government officials, stating that those responsible for incorrect entries in revenue records will face strict disciplinary action. He emphasized that if any erroneous entry is traced to an officer’s login ID, that officer will be held accountable and penalized accordingly. The Chief Minister made these remarks during a review meeting held in Raigarh as part of the Su-Shasan Tihar (Good Governance Festival).

He stressed the need to ensure that errors in land, farming, or other official documents do not erode public trust in the administration, and called for greater accountability in the state’s revenue system. He directed revenue officers to maintain strict oversight of the error rectification process.

During the meeting, CM Sai expressed dissatisfaction over the prolonged delay in completion of the Laat Nala Irrigation Project and instructed officials to expedite its completion. He also directed that all pending projects under the Atal Irrigation Scheme be prioritized. Additionally, the Chief Minister ordered the removal of land registration restrictions in 26 villages falling within the Gomarda Wildlife Sanctuary buffer zone.

Highlighting the importance of grassroots engagement, CM Sai asked officials to conduct regular visits to rural areas to address local issues promptly. “Districts are now smaller, so it is easier for officers to reach more villages,” he said, urging them to ensure that farmers do not face any hurdles in accessing fertilizers and seeds. In view of a potential shortage of DAP fertilizer, he asked that farmers be informed about alternative options. He also instructed officials to promote crop diversification.

Discussing pre-monsoon preparedness, the Chief Minister directed hospitals to maintain an adequate stock of anti-venom medicines to deal with snakebite incidents. To curb diseases like dengue and jaundice, he asked Raigarh Municipal Corporation and the district administration to remain vigilant.

Taking serious note of illegal liquor trade, CM Sai ordered a crackdown on such activities, especially in districts bordering Odisha, and called for enhanced monitoring to prevent cross-border smuggling.

The meeting also covered key issues including sericulture development, groundwater recharge, tourism promotion, road repairs, and awareness about Jan Aushadhi Kendras (affordable generic medicine centers). CM Sai concluded by reminding all elected representatives and officers that they are public servants, and public welfare must remain their highest priority.

Among those present at the meeting were Agriculture Minister Ram Vichar Netam, Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary, Lok Sabha MP Radheshyam Rathia, Rajya Sabha MP Devendra Pratap Singh, Raigarh Mayor Jivardhan Chauhan, District Panchayat Chairperson Shikha Ravindra Gabel, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to CM Subodh Kumar Singh, CM’s Secretary P. Dayanand, Divisional Commissioner Sunil Jain, IG Sanjeev Shukla, CCF Prabhat Mishra, and other senior administrative and district-level officers from Sarangarh and Raigarh.
