Kiran Singh Dev has been re-elected as the state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Chhattisgarh. The announcement was made by BJP’s National General Secretary and State Election Incharge, Vinod Tawde, at a grand ceremony held at the party’s state office, Kushabhau Thackeray Parisar, on Friday.
Tawde welcomed Dev on behalf of National President Jagat Prakash Nadda by garlanding him. Prominent leaders, including Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, state in-charge Nitin Nabin, observer Gajendra Patel, former Governor Ramesh Bais, deputy chief ministers Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma, regional organization general secretary Ajay Jamwal, and organization general secretary Pawan Sai, attended the event.
All state general secretaries—Sanjay Srivastava, Jagdish Rohra, Bharatlal Verma, and Ramji Bharti—along with Raipur City District BJP President Ramesh Thakur and Raipur Rural District President Shyam Narang, also welcomed Dev.
Tawde also announced the names of 17 National Council members, including Vishnu Deo Sai, Arun Sao, Vijay Sharma, Saroj Pandey, M. Lata Usendi, Tokhan Sahu, Brijmohan Agarwal, Vikram Usendi, Santosh Pandey, Vijay Baghel, Punnulal Mohile, Dayaldas Baghel, Kedar Kashyap, Roopkumari Chaudhary, Khubchand Parikh, Nanki Ram Kanwar, and Devendra Raja Pratap Singh. These members will vote in the election of the National President.
In his address, Dev highlighted the successful completion of organizational programs during his previous term, including Lok Sabha elections, Raipur South by-election, membership campaigns, and booth-to-district organizational elections. He emphasized the importance of coordination and dedication in the upcoming urban body and three-tier Panchayat elections, urging members to work towards strengthening the party from Panchayat to Parliament.
Dev expressed gratitude to the national and state leadership and the party workers for their support and guidance, promising to continue working with the same commitment in the upcoming term.
