\Calls for diverting BJP’s industrialist funds to farmers and mothers’ accounts
Raipur
Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, during his visit to Bemetara on Wednesday, emphasized the need for transparent financial management, declaring that every penny must be accounted for. Addressing the crowd, he asserted that the money allocated by the BJP to industrialists should be redirected to the accounts of farmers, laborers, youth, and mothers.
Rahul Gandhi stated on Wednesday that he and AICC president Mallikarjuna Kharge have consistently conveyed a clear message to Chief Ministers. He reiterated a statement made five years ago before becoming Chief Minister, asserting that the Congress party is committed to putting in the accounts of farmers, laborers, youth, and mothers and sisters an amount equivalent to what the BJP allocates to industrialists.
In Bemetara, Rahul emphasized, “Wherever our government is, I and Kharge ji have clearly communicated with Chief Ministers. Congress will channel the same amount of money into the accounts of farmer laborers, youth, and mothers and sisters as the BJP allocates to billionaires and major contractors. If they give one rupee to Adani, then one rupee should also go into the accounts of the people of Chhattisgarh.”
Money going into Adani ji’s pocket is spent in America, whereas funds in the accounts of mothers and sisters contribute to the local village economy, strengthening it.
After forming the government again, Chhattisgarh’s farmers will receive a guaranteed Rs 3200 for per quintal for paddy, he said.
The decision to waive the debt of Chhattisgarh’s farmers was made within two hours of forming the government.
The Chhattisgarh government has made groundbreaking decisions, including promise of a subsidy of Rs 500 on cylinders post-elections and offering free education from KG to PG.
Rahul Gandhi asserted that conducting a caste census after coming to power in Delhi will be a revolutionary step post-independence. Such a census will empower marginalized groups and bring about positive changes in the country.
Rahul criticized Modi for misleading the public on the issue of caste census. He highlighted the disparity in debt forgiveness, with Modi favoring the rich and neglecting the debts of OBCs and Dalits.
Rahul Gandhi drew a parallel with Karnataka, where women were given free bus tickets. He announced that in Chhattisgarh, every woman’s account will receive Rs. 15,000 annually.
Rahul Gandhi concluded his speech by appealing to the people of Chhattisgarh to support Congress candidates in the upcoming elections, promising a government that prioritizes the welfare of farmers and marginalized sections.
