Transport min Mohammad Akbar inaugurates modern district transport office in Bemetara district

Raipur: In a significant development for the residents of Bemetara district, Chhattisgarh’s Transport Minister, Mohammad Akbar, inaugurated the newly constructed district transport office building on Friday. 

During his address, Minister Mohammad Akbar highlighted the department’s commitment to transparency in the issuance of fitness certificates and licenses for vehicles. He expressed the department’s dedication to providing improved services to the people and stressed the need to expand the availability of driving tests and private fitness centers to meet the growing demand. The minister also shared insights into the Transport Department’s significant initiatives aimed at enhancing citizen services and streamlining administrative processes.

As part of the inauguration event, Minister Mohammad Akbar conducted an inspection of the various rooms within the office building, underlining the importance of maintaining discipline and cleanliness. He encouraged officials to plant shade-giving and fruit-bearing trees within the premises, fostering a green and sustainable environment.

The newly constructed transport office is fully equipped to serve the needs of the district. District Transport Officer Arvind Bhagat provided details about the facility, stating that it spans a total area of 3.8 acres and was constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.76 crore. The two-story building includes essential facilities such as a store room, record room, administrative branches, offices for officials and staff, and barracks for security personnel. Additionally, the office boasts a conference hall on the ground floor and meeting rooms on the second floor. For convenience in document submission related to learning licenses, permanent licenses, bus permits, and other services, designated window openings have been set up within the campus.
