ED conducts fresh raids in Chhattisgarh.

Raipur After a brief halt, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has again initiated raids in Chhattisgarh. The ED was carrying out extensive searches at the residences of businessmen situated in Raipur, Korba, and Ambikapur till filing to this report. This ED action is reportedly linked to individuals closely associated with IAS officer Ranu Sahu who is already arrested by the ED a few days back. The household of Rohit Agrawal, located in the Swarnabhoomi locality of Kachna, Raipur, is presently under scanner. Rohit’s involvement in the Tendupatta business has prompted this investigation, sources said. The ED team commenced the scrutiny of documents early in the morning. Meanwhile, in Korba, the ED team executed a pre-dawn operation at the residence of former councilor and businessman Shiv Agrawal who resides on the Station Road. Following an exhaustive 5-hour scrutiny, the ED team concluded the operation without any confiscations. In Sitamarhi, examination of documents was is being carried out at the premises of Pawan Agrawal, a businessman dealing with tiles and land. Pawan’s father, Shiv Agrawal, was a contestant in the Assembly elections representing Jogi Congress in 2018. However, no updates regarding the progress of the investigation have been disclosed thus far. Another businessman, Rudmal Agrawal, who runs a Kirana store, experienced a thorough search operation at both his residence and shop in Korba. Comprehensive details about the findings of the search operation at Rudmal Agrawal’s residence are yet to be unveiled. Preceding this, the ED team executed a search operation at the properties of Sunil Ramdas Agrawal in Raigarh on Wednesday.
