AICC constitutes Election Committee headed by CPCC president Deepak Baij for Chhattisgarh assembly elections

Barely four months ahead of assembly elections in Chhattisgarh, All India Congress Committee on Sunday formed an Election Committee for the state headed by Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee president and Bastar MP Deepak Baij. Baij has been appointed as the chairman of the committee

The Committee will play a pivotal role in deciding candidates for the 90 assembly constituencies of the state. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Assembly Speaker Dr Charandas Mahant, Deputy Chief Minister T S Singhdeo, Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu, Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey, Forest Minister Md Akbarm Urban Administration Minister Dr Shiv Kumar Dahariya, and other Cabinet ministers Anila Bhendiya, Mohan Markam, Guru Rudra Kumar are also included in the committee.
Similarly, MLA Dhanendra Sahu, MLA Satya Narayan Sharma, MLA Amitesh Shukla, MLA Vikash Upadhyay, Rajesh Tiwari, Paras Chopra, Pradesh Mahila Congress president, Youth Congress president and chief organizer of State Seva Dal will also be a part of the committee.
