Mohan Markam sworn-in as Cabinet Minister, gets SC, ST, OBC & Minorities Development departments

Raipur Just four months ahead of assembly elections, a reshuffle has been made with the induction of Kondagaon MLA and former Pradesh Congress Committee chief Mohan Markam into the Cabinet. Markam has been given the departments of Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste, Backward Classes and Minorities Development. Markam was sworn-in as the minister by the Governor on Friday. It may be mentioned, Markam has replaced former school education, ST/ST Development Minister Dr Premsai Singh Tekam who has sworn-in as the chairman of Chhattisgarh State Planning Commission. Similarly, Deputy Chief Minister T S Singhdeo got energy, public health and engineering, medical education and twenty-point implementation and commercial tax (GST). Home Minister Tamradwaj Sahu got Jail, Public Works, Endowment and Religious Trust, Tourism, Agriculture Development and Farmers Welfare and Biotechnology Ravindra Choubey has got Panchayat and Rural Development, Parliamentary Affairs, Livestock Development, Fisheries, Water Resources, and School Education and Cooperative.
