BJP can regularize contractual/daily wage employees if forms government: Dr Raman Singh

RaipurFormer Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh said that if BJP comes to power in Chhattisgarh then it can regularize the contractual and daily wage employees. The BJP national vice president Dr Singh, who had reached Naya Raipur to show solidarity with the striking contractual employees at Tuta along with party leaders O P Choudhary and Gaurishankar Shrivas, also appealed the contractual employees to support the BJP in the upcoming elections. The BJP will include the issue of contractual/daily wage employees in the manifesto, Dr Singh said while addressing them.Dr Singh said here, BJP has regularized the employees in 1988 and in 1997. BJP has done more than 40 thousand regularizations while the Congress has not been able to do anything except making false promises for the last five years, he said.Contractual employees association state president Kaushalesh Tiwari said, in a democracy, there is a right to work with dignity and to raise one’s voice in a constitutional manner. But when the employees who help the government in implementing its schemes on the ground have to face the fear of being fired every year and administrative harassment every day during their work, it is injustice to them.Employee leaders said, “Governments have changed in Chhattisgarh but our fortunes have not changed. We are still fighting for our honor.” Working President Hemant Sinha said that this will be a black day in history. “We had heard that the government is sensitive. But the situation is quite the opposite,” he said.Ashok Kurre said that the ESMA imposed on health workers should be repealed immediately. The Congress government had promised in its public manifesto that the contractual employees would be regularised.
