60th All-India DGP-IGP Conference to be held in Chhattisgarh for the first time

Raipur – Chhattisgarh is set to host the 60th All-India Conference of Directors General of Police (DGPs) and Inspectors General of Police (IGPs) from across the country. The high-level three-day meet will be held from 28 to 30 November 2025 at the IIM campus in Naya Raipur.
The annual event, which serves as the apex forum for deliberation on national security matters, will see Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurate the conference. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the valedictory session. Chhattisgarh Home Minister Vijay Mishra confirmed the schedule.
The conference will feature detailed discussions on critical internal security challenges, including anti-terrorism efforts, drug control, cyber security, border management, and strategies to counter Naxalism.
A major focus this year will be on strengthening the counter-Naxal strategy, particularly in the Bastar region. The state police and Central Armed Police Forces achieved several successes in recent months through joint operations in the area. Officers will discuss adopting the successful ‘Bastar Model‘ at a national level.
According to officials, recent operations in Bastar were effective due to enhanced ground intelligence, modern weaponry, and joint action by security forces. The conference is expected to finalise a blueprint for future strategy against left-wing extremism.
Last year, the conference was hosted in Bhubaneswar. Chhattisgarh hosting this prestigious national security event for the first time is considered a significant achievement for the state.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s attendance at the DGP conference marks his second visit to Chhattisgarh within a month. Earlier, the Prime Minister visited Raipur on 1 November for the state’s establishment day (Rajyotsava) celebrations. During that visit, he inaugurated the tribal museum, attended the Rajyotsava event, and met with children at the Satya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital.
In preparation for the conference and the presence of VVIPs, Bungalow M-01 in Naya Raipur will be converted into a temporary Mini-PMO for the three days. This bungalow is the official residence of the Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker and former Chief Minister, Dr. Raman Singh.
The gathering will see the participation of over 500 top officers, including PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, chiefs of paramilitary forces, and 70 DG-level officers.
Stringent security arrangements are being made across Naya Raipur. National Security Guard (NSG) commandos will be deployed, and a fleet of 400 vehicles is being prepared for VVIP movement.
