4 MoUs for Youth in Chhattisgarh : Mahindra and Hyderabad-based Nandi Foundation to Offer Job-Oriented Courses, Support for Employment and Startups

The Chhattisgarh government signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with four organizations across the country on Friday during the NITI-State Workshop held in Raipur. Chief Minister said that the goal of a “Developed India” can be achieved more swiftly. The state’s departments of Skill Development, Technical Education, and Higher Education signed these significant MoUs.

The first MoU was signed between the Chhattisgarh State Skill Development Authority (CSSDA) and the Nandi Foundation. Its primary goal is to enhance the employability of socially and economically disadvantaged youth. The program aims to improve their livelihood and financial security by providing them with essential skills.

The second MoU was signed between CSSDA and Mahindra & Mahindra. Under this agreement, livelihood colleges in the districts of Dantewada, Balrampur, and Kondagaon will offer tractor mechanic training. This program will be managed by the State Project Livelihood College Society based in Raipur.

The third MoU was signed between the Department of Higher Education and NASSCOM. The objective is to equip college students with knowledge of modern technologies and transform them from job seekers to job providers.

The fourth MoU was signed between the Higher Education Department and the Hyderabad-based Nandi Foundation. It aims to provide college students with employment-related training to help them secure better placement opportunities.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai stated that the government is designing schemes with a focus on youth, women, and tribal communities to make Chhattisgarh a developed state by 2047. He appreciated NITI Aayog’s Aspirational Districts Program, noting that it has brought visible change in tribal areas.

He further added that through effective implementation of the State Support Mission, new livelihood and employment opportunities would open up for youth, women, and tribal communities through skill-based training. He emphasized that empowering youth with skills is key to making them employable.

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma mentioned that special courses and training programs will soon be introduced for tribal youth in Bastar and Sarguja regions. He also said that centers for self-employment and entrepreneurship training for women are in the pipeline.

He informed that MoUs with major companies are being signed to bring in investment and create employment opportunities. He stressed the importance of linking skills with industries, stating that real employment potential is unlocked when both come together.
