57 Students from Prayas qualified in JEE Advanced

Raipur: The results of JEE Advanced 2023 have been announced. The students of Prayas Residential Schools, operated under the Department of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Development in the state, have shown outstanding performance. Among the declared results of JEE Advanced 2023 by IIT Guwahati, 57 out of 141 students from Prayas Residential Schools have qualified this year’s JEE Advanced examination. Out of these, 28 students are likely to get selected for IIT and 29 for NIT.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Development Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam, congratulated the students on their achievement and wished them a bright future.

Among the successful students, Prayas Residential School, Raipur, has achieved the best result. Out of 31 students who appeared for the JEE Advanced examination from this school, 15 have qualified. Among them, 10 are expected to be selected for IIT and 6 for NIT. From Prayas Girls Residential School, Raipur, 7 out of 19 students qualify for JEE Advanced. Among them, 4 are expected to be selected for IIT and 2 for NIT. From Prayas Ambikapur 2 out of 7 students qualify for JEE Advanced. 

Prayas Durg had 2 out of 24 students qualify for JEE Advanced, and 5 are expected to be selected for NIT. Prayas Kanker had 2 out of 14 students qualify for JEE Advanced, and 4 are expected to be selected for NIT. Prayas Jashpur had 2 out of 13 students qualify for JEE Advanced, and 5 are expected to be selected for NIT.

In addition, 4 students from the previous year’s dropout batch have qualified for IIT, with 3 from Raipur and 1 from Ambikapur. Similarly, there is a possibility of 4 students qualifying for IIT through the departmental Rajiv Gandhi Youth Development Scheme (PET/PMT Coaching). Therefore, a total of 36 students have the possibility of being selected for IIT this year, which is a significant achievement. Department secretary D.D. Singh and Commissioner Shammi Abidi also congratulated the students on their achievement and wished them a bright future.
