Raipur. Amidst the race for the chair between Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and State Health Minister T S Singhdeo, Baghel on Sunday said that the presence of the head of the state is sufficient. Baghel stated this while replying to queries of journalists during a press conference in Bemetara on Sunday.

 

When asked about the absence of Bemetara district In-charge Minister T S Singhdeo during his visit, Chief Minister Baghel said he doesn’t see anything wrong with it. “When the head of a state is present, there is no need of In-charge Minister,” Baghel said.

 

Earlier, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had said that the income of farmers, labourers, and forest dwellers, in particular, increased due to the effective implementation of various welfare schemes. 

During his Bemetara trip on Sunday, Chief Minister Baghel said that farmers are receiving incentives for their Kharif crops under Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana.

 

The state government has so far done commendable work in the health, education, agriculture sectors. The introduction of the Swami Atmanand English Medium School scheme is a revolutionary decision taken by the state government for improving the standard of education in the state, said the Chief Minister. This scheme is being appreciated by one and all.  Children in large numbers are seeking admission to this School, he added.

When Congress came to power in 2018, the state had around 1300 doctors, and now the number has increased to 4000. Health infrastructures are have improved, said Baghel.

Baghel said that the State government has inaugurated a power generation project from cow dung in the Bemetara district and this project would prove beneficial for the people of the state. The Congress government has launched Godhan Nyay Yojana, and under this cow-dung is being procured from cattle breeders of the state. Vermicompost is being manufactured in the Gothans of the state. Today, Chhattisgarh is moving towards organic farming, and it will be helpful to improve soil health, he said.

The Chief Minister said that local farmers and unemployed people would get adequate employment opportunities, and the State government is taking the initiative to set up industry in the district. Baghel said that two ethanol plants would be set up in the future in the Bemetara district. The Chief Minister also counted various other achievements of the Congress government. 

Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu, Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey and MLA Ashish Chhabda and District Congress Committee President Bansilal Patel were also present at the press conference.
