Friends kidnap and murder a 15-year old for 50 lakh ransom.

Bilaspur. Greedy for a hefty ransom, a 10th class student was abducted by his own friend and two other youths. The kidnappers then murdered him for fear of being caught and hid the body in the drainage pipe of Ranigaon. After that, they called his father, and demanded a ransom of 50 lakh rupees. With the help of a cyber cell, all the accused were caught within a few hours. SSP Parul Mathur said, Asif Mohammad, a property dealer, who also buys and sells old vehicles had a 15-year-old son Mohammad Rehan. The boy left the house at 5 pm on Sunday and went missing. When he did not return home till late in the night, the family kept searching for him. At 11.15 pm Mr. Asif got a call from his son’s mobile. Giving information about the kidnapping of Rehan, the caller demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh and threatened to kill the son if he informed the police. Shri Mohammad immediately reached Tarbahar police station and informed them about the incident. As soon as the information was received, Additional SP Umesh Kashyap, Cyber Cell TI Pradeep Gupta, Manoj Nayak, Sagar Pathak, Sarfaraz Khan, Shobhit Kaivartya, Manish Singh, Nurul Qadir and others reached the Tarbahar police station. Collecting technical evidence from the cyber cell, the police interrogated his friend Abhishek Dan, who lived behind the deceased’s house. Abhishek breaks down and confesses to killing Rehan along with his other two friends. He said that after the killing, the dead body had been hidden inside the drainage pipe of the main road near Ratanpur Road, Ranigaon. Police caught his other two accomplices and took them to the spot and recovered the body from inside the drainage pipe. The police have arrested the three accused and registered an offense under sections 363, 120B, 201, 384, 302, 34.
On Sunday evening at 5 pm, accused Abhishek told Rehan that his girlfriend’s friend likes him very much. She wants to meet him. Rehan agreed to meet him and went with him. The said youth along with other two companions took him to Bilasa Tal and beat him up. After that Abhishek took him behind the liquor shop located in Koni and beat him up some more. Finally took him to his poultry farmhouse in Ramtala. Afraid of being caught, they strangled Rehan to death with a belt. After that, after putting the corpse in a sack, he went to Ranigaon by bike and hid it in the drainage pipe. Then he called Rehan’s father from his mobile and asked for a ransom of Rs 50 lakh.
