Web portal director arrested for allegedly spreading fake news regarding health min TS singh Deo

Raipur: A web portal director has been arrested for allegedly spreading fake news regarding health minister TS Singh Deo.

Police said that the Pawan News webportal director Pawan Banjare is Congress party media in-charge. He was appointed as media in-charge for Congress in the Risali civic body elections. Media advisor of the minister Rajendra Singh Parihar had lodged a complaint against Banjare in Civil Line Police Station for allegedly spreading fake news regarding the health minister. Banjare has been sent to jail on judicial remand. 

Meanwhile, health minister TS Singh Deo has termed the news regarding his statement on UP polls being surfaced on a news web portal as fake.

Taking cognizance of the matter, Health Minister  TS Singh Deo’s office has written a letter to the Station House Officer, Civil Line Police Station as per his instructions.

The news is completely false and baseless and is an attempt to tarnish the image of the minister. No such statement has been made or issued by the minister. This type of misleading news is being spread to pollute the political environment under a well-planned conspiracy, the letter stated. The authorities have been asked to take strict legal action against the news portal for this move.
