Union budget is completely disappointing and directionless: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel
Raipur: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has termed the Union Budget for the financial year 2022-23 presented in the Parliament today, as “completely disappointing” and “directionless”.
Expressing his disappointment over the Union Budget 2022 Baghel said “there is nothing in the budget for farmers, laborers, youth, unemployed and women. People from all sections of society had high hopes from the budget. It was expected that there would be something for farmers and laborers, however there is nothing. Nothing as far as doubling the income of farmers is concerned. There is no provision regarding the subjects which were included in the old budget. No provision for developing 100 smart cities. This budget is a completely directionless budget in which there is nothing for the youth, neither for the unemployed, nor for the women or the farmers.”
He added that there is no concrete provision in the budget for boosting rural economy nor any kind of relief or provision to boost livelihood opportunities and income of farmers, unemployed and poor, women and youth and middle class and common people. The Union government’s promise of doubling farmers’ income by 2022 has proved to be hollow through this budget.
