Businessman Surjit Singh Bhatia passes away

Bilaspur:Surjit Singh Bhatia, a renowned businessman of the state who belonged to Dayalband, passed away. His last rites was performed at Muktidham Madhuban, Nariyal Kothi, Dayalband. 

A large number of citizens from all walks of life had participated in the funeral of Bhatia. Various social organisations and public representatives expressed profound grief over the demise of Bhatia who was the elder brother of MahenderSingh Bhatia, Amlok Singh Bhatia, GurmeetSingh Bhatia and Inderpal Singh Bhatia and father of Bhupender Pal Singh, Goldi Bhatia and Gurucharan Singh. 

The head of the Bhatia Group of Company, Surjit Singh Bhatia, died while undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital here.  Bhatia, who started from zero, became a successful businessman because of his hard work and dedication. Bhatia used to maintain a very good rapport with former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Arjun Singh and Digvijay Singh. 

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Vidhan Sabha Speaker Dr Charandas Mahant, Leader of Opposition Dharamlal Kaushik, Cabinet Minister T S Singhdeo, former minister Satyanarayan Sharma, MLA Dharamjeet Singh, Arjun Tiwari expressed deep sorrow.
