Single Village Scheme live working model a favorite of visitors at Rajyotsav 2021

Raipur: The stall of
Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department set up at the venue of recently
concluded Rajyotsava 2021 attracted a huge crowd with its informative live
demonstration models on various schemes.

The live working model
of the Single Village Scheme (SVS) displayed here under the Jal Jeevan Mission
scheme was one of the favorites of visitors. The model shows a water supply
scheme from tap to households under the single village scheme operating in
rural areas. In addition, running water supply system in schools, Anganwadi
centers, sub-health centers and Gauthan (cowsheds) has also been displayed here
through the working model.

College students Narayani
Yadav, Vinay Verma, and Karan Verma, said that the scheme of supplying water
from tap to every household has been explained in an attractive way with the
working model. We have come to know how water is being supplied to the people
of rural areas of the state through this scheme. The scheme initiated by the
state government with a mission of women’s safety, better public health, convenience,
and prosperity of family is commendable.

They added that these
live models displayed at the stalls set up by various departments serve to be
highly informative for the citizens especially the youth to know about the
schemes being run by the state government for the welfare of public.

Meanwhile, a target has
been set to supply pure drinking water through taps to the homes of 39 lakh
rural families by the year 2023 in rural areas of the state under the Jal
Jeevan Mission. This will be done under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh
Baghel and guidance of Public Health Engineering Minister Guru Rudrakumar. A
provision of Rs 850 crore has been made for the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme in
the budget of the year 2021-22. Besides, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has laid
the foundation stone of the schemes run under Jal Jeevan Mission in all the
districts.
