Shabbir Boxwala to shoot his next film in Chhattisgarh, locations to be finalized soon
Raipur: Shabbir Boxwala, who produced films like Shershaah and Mission Istanbul, is soon going to shoot his next in Chhattisgarh, said officials here on Wednesday.
Boxwala along with Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty reached Raipur on Tuesday. Advisor to Chhattisgarh government Gaurav Dwivedi met them and told them about the new film policy of state government. He invited them to shoot films in beautiful and scenic locations of Chhattisgarh.
Meanwhile, the Bhupesh cabinet has approved a new film policy of the state 4 months ago. Following this, producers and directors are being invited to make films in Chhattisgarh.
Dwivedi informed that Boxwala will soon revisit Raipur and finalize the location of shoot. The shooting will most probably begin from March next year. However, the name of the film has not been revealed yet.
He added that the shoot of web series Jahanabad will start in Chhattisgarh from January next year. This will be released on Sony Liv platform. Popular director Sudhir Mishra will be the presenter of this web series. The shooting schedule is said to be of about 70 days and locations will be Kanker, Kawardha, Rajnandgaon and Raipur.
He further added that director Ratnaa Sinha, who has directed the film “Shaadi Mein Zaroor Ana” is also expected to visit Raipur in January. Shooting of her next romantic film is expected to begin from April next year. Earlier shooting of web series “six suspects” was done in Chhattisgarh.
