Schools will be started in Chhattisgarh as per international standards: CM Bhupesh Baghel

Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated the two-day Jawaharlal
Nehru National Education Conference organized by the School Education
Department at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Auditorium in Raipur, today on the
occasion of the birthday of the first Prime Minister of India, Bharat Ratna
Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

On
this occasion, Chief Minister made three important announcements under the
vision document 2030 of school education in Chhattisgarh. He said that in order
to provide quality education on the lines of Swami Atmanand English Medium
School, schools would be run as per international standards in Chhattisgarh.
Pre-primary education will be provided to young children of more than three
years of age by conducting Balvaadi and employment oriented education will be
given to the students of class IX to XII, so that children can acquire skills
in a particular discipline along with their studies.

Baghel
said that this year ITI training in selected trades has been started in some
schools along with high school education for high school students. The students
of this course will get the certificate of ITI along with 12th on passing the
12th examination. He said that 8000 students are studying in this course
started this year.

He
added that whenever the contribution of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in the making
of modern India will be remembered, the important infrastructures built by
Nehru, especially in the economic and educational field, will always be
remembered. Chief Minister said that Nehru ji had a special attachment with
children. He used to say that children should be brought up with great care and
love, because they are the future of the country.

 Welcoming the educationists, scholars,
teachers and experts, who are participating in the National Education
Conference, which started from today in the capital Raipur, the chief minister
said that during this two-day education conference, discussions will be held on
what work has been done in the field of children’s education in the last 75
years and what has been missing, what can be done better for the education of
children and in which direction we can move forward. Chhattisgarh will also get
an opportunity to learn a lot from the representatives from 27 states in this Samagam.

He
said that education has been of great importance in India from the very
beginning.  Our sages had a special urge
towards education.  He remembered the
great social reformer Raja Rammohun Roy and said that he had started the
movement to introduce English and science education in India, so that Indian
students could stand confidently in front of the world. Chief Minister said
that Gandhiji had started basic education and Pandit Nehru had started many
educational institutions.

Chief
Minister said that the whole world was affected during the Corona period.
During this period, digital education was started in Chhattisgarh. Despite many
challenges during the Corona pandemic, the teachers discharged their academic
responsibilities very well. In Chhattisgarh, stories of Guruji with umbrella,
Guruji with bell, and Guruji with motorcycle were seen. During the Corona
period, teachers did not allow the education of children to be stopped. In the
state, more than 75,000 teachers made recordings on various subjects and
provided study material to the children, the benefit of which was taken by the
children of Chhattisgarh as well as other states. Where there was network
problem, Bluetooth (Bultu Ke Bol) was used for offline education. In the
lockdown, when the children were at home, innovation was started to educate
them in sports, in which the parents of the children were also involved.
