The Rajnandgaon Police, under Superintendent Santosh Singh, started the “Nijat” campaign today on the occasion of Republic Day. ‘Nijat’ is an action and awareness campaign against Narcotics/Drugs, the campaign was launched in a program at Traffic Branch, Rajnandgaon. Hon’ble Ravindra Choubey, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Agriculture and Biotechnology, Livestock Development, Fisheries, Water Resources and Import was the chief guest.

 

On this occasion, Minister Ravindra Choubey congratulated the campaign of Rajnandgaon Police and appreciated it. He said a person in the grip of drugs and narcotics gets ruined. The government intends to take effective action against all types of drugs and narcotics, especially ganja.

ADJ Shailesh Sharma said that Judiciary is also working under legal awareness to end this serious problem. 

Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh said in his speech that intoxication is the root of destruction. At present, given the rapidly increasing number of people indulging in drugs and narcotics and the crime associated with it, it has become necessary to curb them. Nowadays, children see drugs as a form of fashion, which is fatal for the future of the country. Drug crimes are on the rise. To stop the spread of narcotics/drugs and to cure drug addicts, a program has been launched in the district. This involves the police department as well as people in the campaign against narcotics/drugs.
