Over 65 per cent of Chhattisgarh's adult population fully jabbed against Covid-19

Raipur: Over 65 per cent of the
population above 18 years has been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 in the
Chhattisgarh. Besides, 98 per cent people in this age group have received first
shot of the vaccine.
 

Meanwhile, the
inoculation of teens in 15-18 years age group, which commenced from January 3,
is also going on at a rapid pace across the state. Over 46 per cent of
adolescents in this age group have been administered first dose of Covid-19
vaccine so far (as of January 9). So far, more than half of the targeted
teenagers in this age have been jabbed in Mungeli, Dhamtari, Rajnandgaon,
Bemetara, Mahasamund, Balod, Kanker, Durg and Gariaband districts.
 

A total of three crore
26 lakh 91 thousand 036 vaccines have been administered so far in the state,
including both the first and second doses. One crore 92 lakh 29 thousand 213
people above 18 years of age have been administered first dose vaccine of
corona vaccine while one crore 27 lakh 11 thousand 629 people are fully jabbed
against Covid-19. Besides, a total of seven lakh 50 thousand 194 adolescents
have been vaccinated from January 3 to January 9 since the commencement of
inoculation drive for children in the age group 15 to 18 years.
